QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution Management or equivalent
- Concentration in logistics a plus
- Additional studies in the disciplines of purchasing and materials management, operations research, corporate finance, and microeconomics principles encouraged
- Internships in related fields strongly encouraged
- Any finance, engineering, or applied mathematics background would be a bonus
Skills required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to read blueprints, with a desire to eventually design on AutoCAD Software
- Ability to design professional quality documents, concentrating on quotations and capital equipment proposals and justifications
Will be expected to perform the following functions:
- Observe, dissect, and reconfigure distribution center product management
- Conceptualize and design system handling requirements
- Gather detailed information specific to each application
- Interface with customers in both warehouse and boardroom environments
- Justify capital equipment expenditures
- Oversee system installation and debugging
