The focus of our Design Services Group is to help our clients improve their distribution operations through improved material handling systems.
Our goal is to develop the simplest system, which can accomplish the client's operating objectives in an efficient,
economical and flexible manner.
To accomplish this goal, the Group is composed of experienced industry professionals who have extensive knowledge in many types of distribution operations as well as material handling and information control systems.
The typical conceptual design study includes three steps.
- The first, and most important, step is to clearly understand our client's business, now and into the future.
This is accomplished through a systematic review and documentation of the current operations, analysis of historical data and the establishment of design parameters.
- The second step is to identify and evaluate viable material handling equipment and information systems
alternatives for accomplishing the design requirements in the most efficient and economical manner.
- The third step is to finalize the study recommendations,
budgets and the plan to implement the study recommendations with minimum disruption to the ongoing operations.
The basic philosophy of the group is to develop the simplest system which can accomplish the client’s operating objectives in an efficient, economical and flexible manner.
Our design services include:
- Feasibility studies and conceptual designs,
- Warehouse management and control system requirements,
- Computer modeling and simulations and
- Product profiling and slotting.
