Midwest Regional Material Handling Sales Professional

Openings in our Chicago area office for an experienced systems sales persons to sell firm’s services, which include conveyor, rack, sortation devices, picking systems, AS/RS, and WMS and other related material handling equipment. Ideal candidate will be a team player to integrate with existing team members, will be highly motivated to identify and track down potential clients, co-develop and deliver a sophisticated presentation, and see that the project is accepted by the client. Firm offers excellent engineering and project management support, strong compensation and incentive plans and a competitive benefit package.


Qualified applicants will possess the following:

  • A minimum of three years sales experience selling material handling systems with a quantifiable history of achievement.
  • To be able to operate in an independent manner, to monitor and analyze the opportunity funnel, sales activity, plans, and relationships through sales automation tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering. A concentration in logistics and/or studies in the disciplines of purchasing, materials management, operations research, and finance would be a plus

Skills required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
  • Ability to design professional quality documents, concentrating on quotations and capital equipment proposals and justifications

Expected to perform the following functions:

  • Direct through new business development, increased revenue within assigned sales area.
  • Interface with customer at all levels of the organization.
  • Gather detailed information specific to each application
  • Work with application engineering to formulate the best material system for the customer’s application.
  • Put together a cost justification and quote.
  • Close the sale.
